R&B artist Montell Jordan opened his set Sunday night at theHouse of Blues with "What's On Tonight," a hot ballad from his secondalbum. Unfortunately, the singer's performance wasn't "on"; in fact,it was tepid at best, with a couple of standout songs that eithershowcased his strong vocals or just offered a dance groove.
When he took the stage, Jordan, at 6 feet 8 inches, was acommanding presence in dark sunglasses and shiny black jacket. Butwithin minutes, he had shed the cool accessories for a moredown-to-earth, laid-back look - black jeans and black T-shirt.Suddenly, he looked like a regular guy.
