Qld: Greens reject coalition call for curfew

BRISBANE, Jan 19 AAP - The Queensland Greens have labelled a coalition state election
promise to introduce a youth curfew as draconian and out of touch.
Opposition leader Lawrence Springborg and deputy coalition leader Bob Quinn today toured
north Queensland, announcing a plan to allow councils to introduce curfews for young people.
The coalition promised to allow councils to impose 9pm to 6am curfews on children under
15 in particular areas of their towns and cities to reduce juvenile crime.
